The Firestick Golf Community is being brought to you by Mr. H. Grant Rowe and his investors. Mr. Rowe has been developing property in Northern Michigan since 1969. He was the driving force behind the construction and development of The Legend Golf Course at Shanty Creek Ski Resort in 1984. Since 1969 he has developed and sold all of the condominiums at Shanty Creek’s Summit Village and actually was the first developer to pioneer resort condominiums in northern Michigan.
Mr. Rowe went on to develop two Golf Communities under his own Management Company, Vacation Properties Network. In 2000, he constructed The Chief Golf Course featuring a 18 hole Championship Course, and in 2003, The Hawk’s Eye, another 18 hole Championship Course. Also in 2003, to boost play on his courses, he constructed the first units of what has become The Chief Golf Cottages located at the 5th hole of The Chief Course. Today there are 20 Units that hold up to 80 guests! In 2006, the beautifully designed Hawk’s Eye Clubhouse was constructed, boasting 9 upscale condominium units, a large heated outdoor pool, a conference room, a fitness room, and the Hawks Eye Bar & Grill. The community as a whole has become The Hawk’s Eye Golf Resort.
With the tremendous success of the Hawk’s Golf Resort, Mr. Rowe was inspired to move forward with expanding this wonderful community.
